SecurityRecords.com offers Data Services to help streamline the process of sending and receiving keying data updates
If you are looking for a more efficient method of inputting historical key bitting data into SecurityRecords.com, we’ve developed a solution. We can align your keying data through a direct upload. This data can be delivered via an API or as a flat file sent over a secure FTP site.
The upload process involves two steps:
- An initial bulk upload file is to be provided with all the Key Bitting data in: 1) comma-separated value (.csv), 2) pipe-delimited (.txt), or 3) Excel (.xls) format.
- After the initial upload, incremental uploads can also be set up to refresh the data stored in SecurityRecords.com
Key Bitting Data Feed
The Key Bitting Import will be customized by your provided data, but must include: master keying structure, core mark, key bitting, key level, and keyway.
Initial Upload
The initial upload should contain all the keying systems information that you want to include in the SecurityRecords.com software. The initial upload file is to be provided in: 1) comma-separated value (.csv), 2) pipe-delimited (.txt), or 3) Excel (.xls) format. This will help ensure that the import is accepted correctly. Once the data is confirmed, changes can be sent via FTP or the API.
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Setup
