That's Dry Graphite. Here's how to use it.
Each Rekeying Kit shipped by InstaKey includes a tube of dry graphite. Dry graphite should be used to lubricate your lock cylinders - NOT WD-40. Each Rekeying Kit includes enough dry graphite to lubricate up to 12 locks. Do not use the entire bottle in a single lock.
Hold the tube perpendicular to the ground and give a gentle squeeze to dispense the graphite. Don’t have 12 locks? Recap the tube and save it for later, it doesn’t spoil and can be used on most metal on metal mechanisms.
Avoid using liquid lubricants or solvents (such as WD-40) in locks as they can lead to debris accumulation and corrosion, potentially degrading lock operation and functionality.
