What types of Cabinet Lock housings / cylinders are compatible with InstaKey?

Depending on your needs, there are different types of Cabinet Locks available

  • Cam Locks - A cylindrical housing that features a metal cam attachment. When the key is inserted and turned, the cam rotates, interacting with the cabinet's strike plate or loop to securely close the door.
    • Common Uses: Office furniture, filing cabinets, mailboxes, display cases, and cabinets with swinging doors.
  • Deadbolt Cabinet Locks - A robust bolt that extends into the cabinet frame when the key is turned, ensuring the door is locked securely and offering a high degree of protection against unauthorized access.
    • Common Uses: Cabinets with enhanced security, safes, confidential document storage, and cabinets containing valuable items.
  • Sliding Cabinet Locks - These locks are specifically designed for cabinets featuring sliding doors. They utilize a key-operated locking mechanism that effectively secures the sliding door in a closed position, thereby preventing unauthorized access.
    • Common Uses: Glass display cabinets, showcases, and cabinets with horizontal sliding doors
