Rekeying Kits for Master Level Locks and User Level Locks
If you are getting ready to rekey your locks and already have Rekeying Kits at the Master Level and User Level, be sure to verify which key level was lost, stolen, or unaccounted for.
If you are unaware as to which level, try matching up the doors listed on back of Rekeying Kit. User will be a shorter list than a Master list.
Open the matching Rekeying Kit and use the Step Change Key associated for the specific door level listed. The Master Level and User Level rekeys are independent of each other. If a User Level is selected, the Master Key will continue to work and vice versa. This is why matching the accurate level is critical to complete your rekey.
